Music Industry Evolution

The music industry was significantly transformed because of a number of advents in digital technology during the early 20th century. Popular music artists have been rivalled by instant Web singers-celebrities, while retail music stores have been replaced by online music stores. These changes have allowed us to listen to music utilising a number of digital technologies, which include the Internet among others. But one noticeable evolution in the music industry is the emergence of peer-to-peer networks that are involved in copyright infringement.

Fortunately, thanks to several lawmakers creating a legislation that prohibits people to illegally distribute music online, the music industry can now get back to its feet and continue generating revenues.
